Yes, I knew that and should have qualified my answer. But BOTH quarts are
ABOUT the same size as one litre. What I was commenting on was the claim by
Chris Keenen that:

In any case, whether we use US quarts or UK quarts, a litre is not smaller
than a pint (which is half a quart). If a pint is half a quart, then a pint
would be approximately equal to half a litre, no matter whose quart you
used. If a pint is about half a litre, how can a litre be "smaller".
