2002-05-26 Not this time!
I only send postings in HTML format when I originated the posting. These two postings were not originated by me. In this case I replied to another posting. In both cases no HTML was used. In fact, even Bill Potts in USMA 20229 stated the message received by him was plain text and not HTML. Therefore your statement below is without foundation. It may be that your pre-millennium software is hiccuping and starting to do weird things. It may not even be HTML you are receiving, but your software may be creating garbage that you may think is HTML and resending it out. Other computers may think your creation is a virus. I highly doubt Eudora even supports your old version anymore. I really think you should peruse the Eudora sight and see what problems the old versions might cause. Better yet, click on this link: http://www.eudora.com/email/upgrade/index.html or this one: http://www.eudora.com/products/eudora/updater1.html and download version 5.1 for FREE! You can get sponsored mode, where you get ads, or light mode which has none. You can even download the manual in *.pdf format and read all the new features in 5.1. Eudora 1.5.1 might be satisfactory, but I'd bet 5.1 is a lot more satisfactory then what you have. At least with 5.1 you won't have to lose sleep over HTML. And you won't have to spend hours deleting the garbage your old Eudora creates from the HTML it can't handle. Think of upgrading as a form of metricating! You are giving up the old FFU for the more modern and up-to-date SI. And once you get the hang of it, you will kick yourself in the butt for not doing it sooner, as it is easier to use. Here are 2 simple math equations to help you decide:: Eudora 1.5.1 = FFU ---> Eudora 5.1 = SI Now, which do you prefer? FFU or SI? I hope you see the light now!
