The proposal to adjust the size of the second and the metre would upset most derived units as well. Of the 62 SI base and derived units listed in "The International System of Units", 54 units would be physically changed by the proposal of m_vi. Changing the meanings of mega, giga and tera would only compound the present confusion about billion, trillion and quadrillion. What a leap week would do to the calendar I can't imagine.
