Henry Oppermann (Chief of the NIST OWM) announced on May 24 that a process has been initiated to hire a "Group Leader" for the OWM "Laws and Metric Group" as "Program Manager - Metric Transition and Laws and Regulation Activities." "Duties include to coordinate with federal agencies, industry associations, and individual companies on national and international issues regarding the transition to the use of the metric system, ..."
