Pat, When you specify "flow" and "maintain" you ask for "power" in a state of equilibrium (when input and output are continuous and at equal rates of energy flow). I suggest you *measure* the power of electricity inflow directly by an electric power meter or indirectly by an ac voltmeter and an ac ammeter measuring simultaneously. This would be much easier and more accurate that trying to measure the flow of heat energy into and out of the pot. Gene.
