You are correct John. All I was saying was that they can be changed to a different 
order which I found useful. I was just trying to inform people about this product not 
to start a debate.

As for the manufacturer I doubt that he is the culprite since they are made in 
Austria. I am sure that they designed the stamps this way so they can build them in 
whatever order the "customer wants"- hence Office Depot USA. Note that they can also 
be configured in the Western European way which is DD MMM YYYY.
