Hi everyone,

I'm a new member of USMA this month and should like to add my two cents' worth - or even a dime's worth!

Great to see so many folk keen on seeing the US on it's way to metrication. The sooner the better as far as the world is concerned.

Regarding the size of Canadian coins, I just thought you'd like to know that there is a 5 cent coin 9m in diameter. No, I didn't miss out the second 'm' (in mm) - it's standing on it's edge in the nickel-mining town of Sudbury, Ontario, and is 610mm thick.

Hope to provide some positive feedback to your great organisation in coming months & years.

Regards

I have just measured one and it is indeed 18 mm in diameter.  I believe it
is the same size as an American dime.
