metric discussion list!!!

That's not just a suggestion.  You guys just don't get the point.  Let's keep ON 
topic.  You can find other forums for your off-topic issues no matter how neat you 
think they are.

Sounds like a great idea to me.  This would have the added benefit for people to 
automatically screen these messages out if their e-mail programs offer them this 
feature.  Let's just hope now that these would not be the "rule", but the exception, 
i.e. that we end up receiving more non-off-topic messages than the other ones.  If our 
moderator is "listening" he could give his seal of approval for this initiative or 
not.  Hopefully he'll agree...
