You make it sound as though you would expect that to be the case and that it is OK (correct) to do so. It is not. It is not correct to use cyrillic, Japanese, or Chinese characters for SI symbols and it is not always done that way. It is at least sometimes done correctly. I have seen writings in Japanese, Parsi (Iranian), Arabic and Greek in which the correct symbols for SI units were used even though those symbols are not a normal part of the alphabet in those languages.
