Stan,

The Equestrian store in Washington DC must sell one heck of a lot of
horse's blinkers...

| I am curious to read the reply. I hope policies have changed in the
museum.
|
| Two decades ago, I complained about the lack of metric signs in the
exhibitions and an abundance of mistakes on those few that existed. The
at-that-time president of the American National Metric Council, who new
personally several officers there, offered the services of my company to
straighten the matter - to make corrections and suggestions.
|
| A few weeks went by and then it turned out that there was no budget for
fees for such services.
|
| I offered to do the work for free as long as my expenses are reimbursed.
|
| A few weeks went by and then it turned out that there was no budget for
such expenses either.
|
| I offered to do the work entirely free as long as the timing could
accomodate my being in Washington anyway.
|
| I am still to receive a reply.
