Maytag's presence in markets around the world includes direct sales
operations in Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. The
corporation's international efforts, including export sales and marketing,
licensing of brands and joint ventures, are coordinated by Maytag
International, which is headquartered in Chicago, Ill.

Terry,

I took it from your original letter you were attempting to contact Maytag in
the United kingdom, but from the response you received it is obvious the
response came from North America. From the paragraph I posted above, Maytag
does business in the United Kingdom. Since they have a presence in the UK,
are their manuals for the products sold in the UK metric or FFU?

What about Australia? Do they use FFU in their product manuals for products
sold in Australia?

What about their Spanish language manuals for Mexico and Puerto Rico. Are
they FFU or metric. If not metric, then someone fluent in Spanish needs to
write them expressing ignorance at their use of FFU in Spanish.

John
