Dear Sir,

I have found a flyer for the public forum on labeling. I would like to attend the forum but I am in Texas teaching on the 7 November 2002.

I would support the adoption of single metric labels. The waste of time and energy I put into teaching both systems is a drain on the educational time of these students. We are merely delaying the inevitable as the USA is slowly going metric with the construction industry one of the last hold outs.

I would add my voice to the request for metric only labels. The argument that the other is required for comparison is illusionary. As long as there is a system to compare ratios of cost ie cents/ ml etc the US public will be able to discern value.
