Michael (Wizard), you are a detriment to metrication, as well as the most
culturally-ignorant person I have ever encountered.
Anything you don't like is "stupid" and anyone who disagrees with you is
"stupid." You ignore (or are entirely ignorant of) the centuries of
development that go into various cultures, and if those cultures are
different from yours, you call them "stupid."
I'm damn glad you have no voice other than this very-limited forum. If you
were more widely broadcast, you would set metrication in the USA back 50 years.
And you call the British and Americans stupid!

It's too bad the list isn't moderated, like another one I'm a member of. Some people can post without restriction, others have their posts first go to the moderator, who reviews it and maybe lets it through, or maybe not. However, that takes work, and not everyone has the time for that.
I completely agree that reasoned argument helps the cause of metrication, and ranting and raving hurts it greatly -- it lets the enemies of metric view its advocates as nut jobs at the lunatic fringe.
