Decided today to test this law. I had to obtain a new airport ID badge, the
form I filled in listed Height ..... ins Weight ...., I crossed out the
inches, put in 173 and put 63 under weight. When they put the stuff into
the computer the operator came to the height and wanted to know what it was
in inches. I showed her the copy of the law (Below) which I have in my
briefcase. I told her that it seemed she was objecting to my use of the
metric system contrary to Federal Law! Not wanting to stir things up
unduly, but believing I have a right under law to use centimeters, they
wanted a copy of the law so they could look into the issue. I'll let you
know what happens Monday.
