Simple. Mars Products America is trying to prove that metric is ridiculous, difficult, always yielding monstrous numerical values and therefore it should never be adopted in the USA. On the other hand this company is trying to prove that USC is rational, simple, always yielding sane numerical values and the only sensible choice of units.
Here all Mars products are packed in rational metric sizes with no TABD 'supplementary' indications at all Han ----- Original Message ----- From: kilopascal To: U.S. Metric Association Sent: Monday, 2002-11-25 21:23 Subject: [USMA:23580] M&M's 2002-11-25 I was in the store again today and saw a display for M&M's Christmas candies. The package size was 14 oz 396.9 g. It seems that no matter what size it is in FFU, the metric conversion is always something point nine (xxx.9) I find this strange. I wonder what Mars Products is trying to prove with this. John
