I agree that there GOT to be some methodology when the old must vacate the place for NEW and the incoming! The anti-metric crowd sabotaging metrication efforts must be given their due, BUT never to defeat Metrication and SI!

For us there is no need to cling to those old terms. But, there are some
people out in the world who just can't let go of the past. So, in order to
make them comfortable with SI, and we need the masses to be comfortable with
SI, we have to accommodate their clinging to FFU for the time being.

We know that an abrupt break with the old is the most effective, but try
convincing the masses of that, especially when you have the anti-metric
crowd sabotaging metrication efforts.
