Dear Joe, I came across a reference to food energy in an Australian government dietary guide today.
It contained the quotation: "The unit of energy used in dietary computations is the kilojoule (kJ) which officially replaced the kilocalorie in 1977." I thought that the shift from kilocalories to kilojoules took place much earlier than this. Can you advise me on this, please? Cheers, Pat Naughtin Geelong, Australia
