This analysis is not correct, since the amount lost in wiring is generally a fraction of that used by the equipment itself. For example:

If a 110 V motor that uses 100 watts loses 2 watts in wiring (total 102 watts), where a 220 V motor would lose 1/2 watt (total 100.5 watts), the 110 V motor is only using about 1% more power, not four times more power.
