Just finished watching the DVD "K19 - The Widowmaker". A great Cold War sub movie obviously intended for a mainstream audience, with Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson in the lead roles.
99.99% metric, from the depth in meters, to the distance to port in kilometers, to the overheating reactor core temperature in degrees C. Only one refererence in the entire movie to the ocean being "over a mile deep where we are now". Very enjoyable, not quite as action-packed as U571, Das Boat, or Red October, but quite good. Nat PS Not sure I understand that the reactor could reach critical mass and explode, I know civilian reactors fundamentally cannot.
