About Honeywell digital thermometers sold in The Netherlands. They default to Celsius, but they can be switched between the two. From the FAQ:
e. Op mijn Chronotherm IV verwarmen/koelen staat de temperatuur in graden Fahrenheit. Kan ik dat omzetten naar graden Celsius? Jazeker. Dit kunt u omzetten. Een en ander staat vermeld in de gebruiksaanwijzing. U kunt altijd contact opnemen met de Infolijn wanneer u er zelf niet uitkomt. A person has one that defaults to Fahrenheit and asks how to change it. He/she is informed that it is possible. The way to do it can be found in the instructions and if the person gets into trouble he or she can call the help line. This means that all these thermometers are dual, they can be set to preference, they default to Celsius in metric countries, but very sporadically one can slip through that defaults to Fahrenheit.
