Mrs. Young sent the present issue of MT with the item about my promotion to me. Thanks you very much, Mrs. Young. However, I also read the article about optional metric only labelling. One organization shines brightly through its absence. Among the list of participants, who also included EU officials, I could not discover our dear friends from TABD, the ones who promised to support optional metric-only labelling if the EU would be so kind to delay its directive. Well, well! I can only hope that the EU officials noted their absence as well and will remember that when 2010 looms.
