When I flew from Brussels South (Charleroi) to Dublin last year on the Irish no-frills airline Ryanair, small 150 mL cans of Coca Cola were sold on the plane for euro 1.70. For that amount I can get a 2 L bottle of the same stuff in a supermarket and get 50 cents back. Better have a drink before the flight in the airport restaurant; it is just 90 minutes in the air.

Soda pop and some other canned beverages are the same 355 mL one gets on the ground. Fruit juices tend to be in a 340 mL can. But, whatever one normally buys in ones local store is what is served on the plane. In most cases the stewardess will pour out a serving into a clear plastic cup filled with ice. But, you can ask for the whole can if you want. I always do. John Incidentally, small size cans have been common on aircraft for many years. I also see them in hotel bedroom mini bars. I have never thought to check the range of sizes in a variety of countries. -- Terry Simpson Human Factors Consultant [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.connected-systems.com Phone: +44 7850 511794
