2003 MAR 08 SAT I was reading in my “Mechanical Engineering”
magazine March 2003 (this magazine goes out to members of the American Society
of Mechanical Engineers), and I found my letter in the letters to the Editor
section. Here is what was
published: To the Editor: With regard to October’s “Ticket
to Ride” by Paul Sharke, I am very pleased that you didn’t feel
obligated to convert your km/h data to mph. It is a pleasure to know that you have
faith enough in your readers’ knowledge of the International System of
Units. I hope to see more articles
in the future that involve to metric system (or even better, involve only the
