I caught that too. Perhaps these reporters who are "living" with
military units for many months so far and more weeks (hopefully only
days) to come will start picking up metric by osmosis. Its like someone
who visits a foreign country long enough will start speaking the
language without realizing it.

So Walter Rodgers was reporting just now from a convoy of the 7th Cav 
rolling into Iraq.  Everything he said was full metric.
