I prefer "Chaldean." The term correctly identifies their ancient origins while avoiding the politically-charged adjective "Iraqi." In the late 1970s - early 1980s, a somewhat bolder friend of mine was fond of telling people that he had an Iranian cat instead of a Persian cat.
