When it is at last permitted, metric-only labeling in the US
would force the metric system to be featured in US advertising, and thus, force it to
be experienced by the public. While grocery shopping yesterday, I noticed that a 500
ml bottle of drinking water was being promoted with a sign saying it is "16.9 fl.oz.".
If the bottle were labeled in metric only, then advertising would also "go metric".

There are two cardinal sins, from which all the others spring: impatience and laziness.
