The key to popularization of metric is rehabilitation---removing the blinds
of habit, and making metric units real for the individual.
I've gotten used to seeing myself as being 1.73 m tall and 69 kg.Also, my
native city, Boston, is 3400 km away from my present home in Midland, TX.
In the Texas counties with less than 2 people per square kilometer, the
highway speed limit can be as high as 120 km/h. Otherwise, the highway speed
outside city limits is 110 km/h. Not so in Massachusetts---maximum is 100,
but only 90 in the metro Boston area.
