Again, on this mil discussion. Perhaps the use of mil is more associated with an earnest (but misguided IMHO) attempt by some industries to follow the SI system after all. Maybe they figured that rounding up from 6283 to 6400 they'd fulfill that "objective", I don't know...
But 1.9% difference is still 1.9%... Reminds me of the kgf/daN thing, since the difference there is also around this order of magnitude... All in all, to be honest, I'd be willing to support the quad in the end if (AND ONLY IF) support for it would make its momentum big enough to make it THE feasible framework for angle measurement replacement of the Babylonian 360-degree trash.
