Correction to my USMA 26384 for a slope of 45�incline I should have written that I believe that a cartographer would refer to it as a slope of 100% but a railway civil engineer would call it a 71% grade. This has been one of my bad days!
In USMA 26384 I wrote: I believe that a cartographer would refer to it as a 100% grade, but a railway civil engineer would call it a 41% grade. It is matter of tangent versus sine.
