The heat wave is coming to an end. Yesterday record temps of 40 degrees in Southwestern Germany. Here in Nijmegen, Netherlands, it was 36 degrees on Friday, yesterday a few degrees cooler. This week, cool Atlantic air will invade Europe ... at last. The highest temperature in The Netherlands has been 38.6 degrees in 1947. A 40 degree record heat in our country is just something waiting to happen in the near future.
