In a recent episode of Coupling (shown here on BBC America), there is a split-screen night time sequence in which the activities of one of the male characters and of his girlfriend are shown one hour apart.
The left side of the split screen starts with the time 00:30, while the right side shows 01:30. They eventually merge, with the time on the right side taking over. Obviously, the producers of Coupling consider the British public (and any others who view the show -- Canadians on BBC Canada, Americans on BBC America, etc.) to be sophisticated enough to understand the 24 h clock.
