Folks,
Yesterday I placed an invitation for the members of this list to review
my web site and to make comments. Two people have found the time to do
so, which I greatly appreciate.
As a result of those comments, I have so far added two pages to my list
of recently revised pages. Now the list stands at

I hope to make a couple of quick but highly desirable changes to my SI
Guide page and to my Metric Moments page tonight, but I probably won't
have time to make major revisions.
The changes I have made so far to the three pages listed above do not
exhaust the excellent comments that I have received from those two
people, but making those changes have exhausted me over the course of
this afternoon. Again, I ask your help in reviewing these pages to make
sure that I have told no lies.
I had the opportunity this last week to speak with a high-ranking member
of the federal government who has the ear of the President and who can
call and speak to any member of congress that he wants to. He invited me
to write to him and to elaborate on our conversation. Also, he has my
two business cards (Metric Methods and College of Charleston). In that
communication, tonight or tomorrow, I intend to remind him that he said
he wanted to take a look at my Metric Methods web site. Hence my push to
bring it up to date and to make things tidy. No massive restructuring is
possible in a short time frame, of course.
My pitch to the gentleman was simple:
"Tell the President and the Congress that we need
to metricate now! This dawdling is killing us."
He seemed sincerely interested in hearing more, hence the invitation to
me to communicate further.
