is there any indication that the EU will use it with Euros?  I think that
it would start there, if anywhere.

As Pat pointed it out, the use of kF, MF, ... was restricted to economic circles. I never heard that in lay people language.

I suspect (I am now retired) that in French economic circles, they
are using k�, M�, ... (il's just bigger!).

Because the economy is really integrated in Europe, certainly this
holds true in Germany, Italy,... and other countries of the Euroland.
