I think you mean an A4 tray. A3 would replace the ledger size tray.

Some photocopiers have adjustable trays, as have some laser printers. My HP
LaserJet 4M Plus has a letter tray and a universal feed that can take
letter, legal, A4, A5 and various envelopes. The letter tray can be replaced
with a legal or an A4 tray. My Xerox DocuPrint N32 has two trays, each
discretely adjustable (i.e., with detents) for 5.5" x 8.5", 7.25" x 10.5",
8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 13", 8.5" x 14", 11" x 17", A3, A4, A5, B4 and B5, so I
can have any two set up at the same time. It also has a manual/multiple feed
for envelopes and either odd or standard sizes, including all the above,
plus A6. I can't justify the cost, but the N32 can be expanded to four trays
(as can many photocopiers).
