As a meteorologist, millibar is nostalgic, metric and easy to say.

However, atmospheric pressure should be given in kPa to be consistent with
other systems which involve pressure to avoid conversion ( shifting a
decimal point), for safety reasons and to improve understanding in the
relationship to other systems involving pressure.  I know this is not the
prevalent view, but let's get on the same page of understanding.
