Hi all:
Did anyone notice my USMA 26901?
John Mercer, Han and friends: I have seen several posts on the issue. The title suggests, a need to re-think measurement for >American football field. While hard conversions 100yds x53yds are meaningless, I propose the field >could be redefined as 90m x50m (98.4252yds x54.6807yds). Area 100yds x53yds =5300 sq.yds & [98.4252yds x54.6807yds =5381.95883364 sq.yds]. I may not be competent to ask: Was there a need for THIS question to be on usma discussion? >However, competent authorities (US-NFL & NFL Europe) may be approached to considere this.
The field 90m x50m is the right choice! You have the right to disagree.

why narrower? 160 width ~ 48 m -> 50 m

100 yards = 91,44 m -> either 90 m or 100 m
