I just wanted to point out that the subdivisions of pounds are hundredths, (this in reference to scales in grocery stores)
I took my cat to the vet recently. The scale measures in both; I have to fight with them to get the kg figure. Switched to lb, the scale said 9.04. The vet's assistant, and the vet, said that meant "9 lb 4 oz". They don't even know their familiar system. Geez.
