There is a FREE to all software called: CONVERT, that I referred in my mails last year. Any one interested can get a copy (568 Kb) and does all conversions 'conventional to metric & vice-versa'.

Why bother? Google is a converter. Just type "1 gallon in liters" or whatever you want in the search field.
