Dear Joe,

Is it fair to say that no nation has ever chosen to 'go metric' using a
referendum?

It seems to me that the decision to 'go metric' comes from a responsible
government simply deciding that they have the constitutional authority to
set standards of 'weights and measures' for their respective populations.
