Exactly what would those costs be? Who has done a cost study to know
for sure? How much can it cost to print metric info in literature?
This seems like a cop out.

Thank you for expressing that opinion. The units of measurement printed
in
our Directory are specified by the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S.
Department of Energy. BTU's are firmly entrenched as the common unit of
measurement in the market for heating products, which exceeds $10
billion
per year in the U.S. All engineers understand the benefits of the metric
system, but at this time the cost of converting to the metric system
would,
in the judgement of the industry and the U.S.Government, seem to far
outweigh the potential benefits.

Subject: Units
I believe you should change your energy use to Joule's, I've run a
spreadsheet to show the cost of Electricity in MegaJoules versus the
cost of
Gas in MegaJoules, Joules in case you are not aware of it the SI unit of
energy, work, or quantity of heat. This showed me that gas is about one
third the price of electricity for the same heat output. As the metric
system is the preferred system for United States Trade and Commerce,
codified by Law I'm surprised you don't use it.
