I checked on that recently, since I don't want anyone taking me to task in the Physics course that I adjunct. Believe it or not, the online dictionaries (www.yourdictionary.com and www.dictionary.com ) do give equal precedence to both pronunciations, and I have to assume the traditional print dictionaries as well.
