"The government, the EU and the criminal justice system should
not be involved in whether a grocer uses imperial or metric measurements".

The EU notwithstanding, whether a grocer uses imperial or metric measures has ALWAYS
been a matter for the government or the criminal justice system.

The legal definition of weights and measures in the UK has ALWAYS been decided by law,
whether metric OR imperial.

Liberty and Neil Herron should know this only too well.

It has been illegal for some time to sell by the stone. If you are caught selling
items by the stone, you are liable to criminal prosecution. In EXACTLY the same way,
you are liable to prosecution if you sell goods in imperial measurements ONLY.

The law defines weights and measures as it has always done before so why are Neil
Herron and Liberty (who should know better) trying to contest the law now when it was
apparently perfectly acceptable before the year 2000?

That's a rhetorical question if ever there was one.
