Yeah, right...

I wholeheartedly disagree!! Not only the above but ALSO *information* that we may
otherwise be able to obtain somewhere else.
I fail (again, I repeat) to understand why someone would withhold information on this
important development. What for? So you could "charge" us (SIC) "big bucks" for it???
Puzzling, mind boggling, to say the least... (more below)

Yes, I do use it extensively, but I'm under NO obligation to spend money to
participate in it, just like people wouldn't for many other types of newsgroups around!

? Big deal! If I had the chance to attend this I definitely would AND spend money
out of my own pocket. And I wouldn't be complaining about it as it would be MY own
interest to do so!

??? Sorry for saying this but the above is so ludicrous and outrageous that it
wouldn't deserve my wasting my time commenting on it!
:-(
I can't believe my ears that providing information on a *forum* would bear such
outrageous costs ('hundreds of dollars'??? I'm sorry, but you're out of your mind,
pal).
Besides, if this thing was open to the media (and I have no reason to believe it
wouldn't!) one could certainly obtain the scoop *anyways* for free!
> How critcal can this information be to you?
If you can't find "criticality" on a development that is absolutely crucial for the
implementation of metric-only labels, then I don't know what would!

Sigh... Here you go, again, proving my very point (that what you really wanted was to
"sell" the idea of joining the USMA... ;-) ).

? I don't like and resent what you appear to suggest here, Jim. I've *always* put my
money where my mouth is (hundreds of dollars a year and countless time spent over this
issue. This has even been a serious cause of stress in my own marriage)! Even at the
risk of losing friendships and jeopardizing other relationships I hold dear!!! So,
don't come lecture me about 'putting... money behind what (I) believe in', sir!!! :-(
Alas, oh, well, perhaps someone else will show more courtesy here and share
information on this forum. Otherwise, fine, let it be.
