Unfortunately, some of the information is in images but are basically the tables of metric units and customary equivilants.  Keep in mind that in 1893, the Mendenhal order was issued that defined all U.S. customary measures in terms of metric, long before Great Britain or the Commonwealth did so.

Hello everybody.  I am a bit of a history buff.  I believe that the law making the metric system legal in the US was made law on July. 28 1866.  Is there anybody who could do some research and tell me what day of the week it was? Another question is there anywhere i can go on the net and read the law, and could i print the law out or is it classified information?  Thanks for your help.
