Hello I can't remember if i asked this question
before. In the U K on vehicle registrations is the weight given in
kg's or FFU? In British Columbia any vehicle weather it be a 50 cc scooter
or a transport truck all weight on registrations is in kg's. I don't know
about the rest of Canada maybe someone could tell me. Even trailers such
as fifth wheels and boat trailers have to be registered. Their weight is given
in kg's. I called Mazda Canada customer service this morning and said i
was glad to see the dimentions of the MPV in their brochure given in metric
only. They told me that vehicles made in Japan come from the factory with
specs in metric. Vehicles that are made in North America brochures on
these vehicles are in both metric and FFU. It would be interesting if
somebody in the states would go in to a local Mazda dealer and get a brochure on
the 04 MPV and see if the dimentions are in metric only or both. Mazda
Canada have been printing brochures with metric only specs on vehicles made in
Japan since 1998. I called a local V W dealership yesterday and asked if their
dimentions in their brochures are metric or both. The sales person
looked at a brochure and told me that all dimentions are given in metric
only. I am going to check this out some more. Have a great
day.
