<<What year were these vehicles produced? >> Lotus - 94 (M-reg) Mini - 93 (L-reg) Cozzy - G-reg <<If these vehicles are still produced, what system are they using now?>> Alas - cozzy's and Lotus Esprits are no longer made - which is a massive shame. The "mini" is now bigger than an audi A3 (call it a "biggy") and is made by BMW - thus one would expect metric. I once had a problem getting the battery terminal tight on my cozzy due to trying to use a metric spanner. I bought the metrinch system shortly after. I now *never* have to worry whether a nut is imperial, foriengn or, to that matter, "martian" ! 2.) Cosworth :- Sapphire Lotus: - Eprit Mini: well its a customised jobby with over 110bhp at the 13" wheels so not very standard I'm afraid. My belief is this person looks for any form of imperial on a car. Such as he noted above. The vehicle could have a complete metric design and use of metric parts, but use 13 inch wheels and state that the engine's power in horsepower and the car is considered imperial. This is the person who claimed Tesco's reverted to imperial because he went into the store and saw hand made signs showing imperial amounts and prices. He wears metric blinders that allows him to not see anything metric. He sees only imperial and declares metric not to be there. For this reason, he will never visit a deli counter at a store for he will have to admit it is metric. He will never look at the point of sale scale at the cash register nor his receipt as they both will show metric amounts. This is just some of the antics he pulls.
