As I've mentioned before, and as Jim says (very well) below ... Most people don't care, and wouldn't mind if metrication happened, but it's not the end of the world to them if it doesn't. Few will write to Congress about doing it (we are an exception of course).
A few mind very much, and whine and complain. Congress gets messages from them and thinks they are representative since they are most of the people doing the writing. Carleton
