Yes, the football field 110 ysds. x 110 yds. is 100m x 100m (instead of exact 100.584 m). Similarly, distance between wickets on CRICKET field is 20m x 20m (22 yds x 22 yds) instead of hard conversion 20.1168m x 20.1168m. Remember my earlier posts.
It is THIS factor of 'hard conversions' that defy the progress of metrication & SI.
