Hello one and all!
This is my first official post on the USMA listserv. I am an 18 year-old,
born- American from Oregon who loves the metric system so much, its
obsessive! I, like many of you, are in favor of the United States converting
completely
to the metric system--with the exeption of football. I wrote a short poem in
regards to why the US must convert to the metric system. Please read it and
tell me what you think of it! This poem goes as follows:
Two, four, six, eight, its time for America to metricate
If we don't we'll pay the price
And grieve ourselves to economic ice
Meter is 1, kilometer is 1000,
Ahhh nothing but zeros and ones
But how many ounces in a pound?
Do I really want to be around?
