I would agree that education and training would be effective ways to approach metrication.
Even if there are issues about how metrication should be done in the US, I think it becomes more important to consider how transitions to metric units of measure would be presented to users.
I know that I would welcome the metering of gas pumps by the liter, or the labeling of consumer products by the liter or the gram. Don't ask me how the fluid ounce, pint, quart, and gallon compare.
Surely there are logistics issues that the public would hope to be addressed in the course of US metrication. In the mean time, and until these matters are decided, I would think that a lot more people may be interested in having more impartial information about metrication.
I would also like to take this occasion to convey best wishes for a nice weekend (and monthend too, as this weekend they coincide).
